Purpose & Character
Humble Glory is dedicated to the beautiful game - football/soccer - in Canada and the USA. The written pieces will feature analyses, commentaries, and editorials intended to promote the sport by sharing information and participating in football-centered conversations about the professional and competitive national leagues. As the name "Humble Glory" indicates, some of the articles will be characterized by typical exaggerated exuberance of fans and the occasional banter. However, all articles whether academic or speculative, serious or humorous will use only respectful and honorable language. With a few exceptions, footballers in the respective leagues play simply because they love the king of sports. Fame or financial gains are minimal with the exception of a handful of players at the top of the heap. The glory they receive thus, is humble.
Readers and Participants
An exciting part of this will be the participation of the readers, thus comments will always be welcome. We shall operate on trust and basic personal respect. However, as clearly expressed above, any and all sharing on the part of readers must be respectful and honorable. I reserve the exclusive and sole right to delete comments that do not share in the character of this site.
